LINKS

Please return occasionally as this page will change from time to time as we provide you with what we hope are helpful and informational links. Some of these links are to websites for organizations which are informative as to the mediation process, some to local organizations which do worthwhile work in their communities, and some just plain healthy places!

We do not sponsor these organizations nor do we charge any fee for providing the link; it is provided simply as a convenience to our clients and prospective clients.

The following are descriptions for each link to the left of the page.

1. Karen Carrera is a highly skilled mediator as well as an experienced and seasoned attorney and business consultant. Karen and David are available to provide co-mediation services for you. Additionally, should it be your choice, David highly recommends Karen as a single mediator, an attorney and a business consultant. Whether or not you choose to use Karen and David as co-mediators, if you choose to engage Karen alone as a mediator, business consultant or attorney, you can be sure that David feels you have made an excellent choice and absolutely assures you that Karen will provide you with excellent, first rate services.

2. Northern California Mediation Center - The website of the Northern California Mediation Center, based in San Rafael, California, is a font of information regarding the mediation process.

3. San Francisco Bay Area Collaborative Practice Group - The San Francisco Collaborative Practices Group is an innovative group which takes a "holistic" and "team" approach to dispute resolution and mediation, often involving a team consisting of an attorney, a therapist and a financial person. It's website is full of information pertaining to conflict resolution as well as its unique approach to mediation.

4. FindGroupTherapy.com - Group therapy groups can be a wonderful way to learn methods of personal conflict and dispute resolution in the "here and now" with other people in a safe, confidential setting guided by a trained group therapist. The Find Group Therapy website is a resource for finding such groups. It is recommended that you verify a therapist's license and experience whenever engaging the services of a therapist, and particularly their training and experience as a group therapist.

5. First Place for Youth - We at The Mediation and Law Offices of David F. Perry firmly believe in commitment to and "giving back" within our communities. First Place For Youth, Inc. is an Oakland based California nonprofit which has transformed the working model for assisting foster youth and recently emancipated foster youth in the difficult transition to independent living. There are many ways in which you can involve yourself, assist your community, and specifically these youth who are often "unseen." Click on the link to find out how YOU can make a difference in the lives of young people.

6. The Trust for Public Land - The Trust For Public Land endeavors to protect various natural habitats through a variety of agreements and methods, including conservation easements, so that future generations may enjoy the natural beauty of this planet.

7. Sanchez Street Studios Pilates - Healthy conflict and dispute resolution often requires coming from a "centered" and healthy place within ourselves. Being centered involves body and soul; Pilates and yoga are methods of achieving both physical health and psychic centeredness. Sanchez Street Studios is an exemplar of this philosophy and practice and a wonderful place to achieve physical fitness as well as spiritual balance (and have fun in the process).

8. Self Help Magazine - If you browse around the Self Help Magazine website you will encounter many useful articles and tips about conflict and healthy conflict resolution which may be helpful to you in your everyday life and relationships.
